terms.

the rules you accept by using bevel. short version: be reasonable and so will we.

These are the terms between you and Bevel Labs, Inc. (“Bevel,” “we,” “us”) when you use bevel.sh, the dashboards, the chat agent, and anything else we ship under the bevel name (“the Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you accept these terms. If you don't, don't use it.

1 · the account

You need to be at least 16 to use Bevel. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself. Tell us at victor@bevel.sh if you think someone else got in. One human, one account; don't share logins.

You can connect Bevel to data sources (PostHog, GitHub, Sentry, etc.). You confirm you have the right to grant Bevel access to that data, and that no one else has told you not to.

2 · what Bevel does

Bevel reads data from the sources you connect, plus the open web, and produces ranked recommendations about what to ship. It is decision support, not a decision. You are still the PM. Don't ship something just because Bevel said so; verify, talk to your team, do the engineering.

The recommendations are generated by large language models. They are sometimes wrong, sometimes confidently wrong, and occasionally hallucinate. Treat the output the way you treat any LLM output: as a draft.

3 · acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Bevel to do anything illegal, infringing, or designed to harm someone.
  • Connect data sources you don't have permission to read.
  • Try to break Bevel's authentication, scrape it, or evade rate limits.
  • Resell or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us.
  • Use the Service to train a competing model, or extract our prompts and tooling for that purpose.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that do these things. We don't love doing it; we will tell you why.

4 · plans, billing, refunds

During beta, Bevel is free. After beta, paid plans show their price on /pricing. Subscriptions auto-renew at the cadence shown at checkout (monthly or yearly). You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.

Refunds. If something is broken on our end and you bring it to us within 30 days of payment, we refund the period in full. Otherwise, no refunds for partial periods. We will not pull a fast one on you.

We can change pricing for new periods with at least 30 days' notice. Existing prepaid periods are honored at the rate you bought.

5 · who owns what

You own your data. The events, commits, decisions, and notes you put into Bevel — yours. We get a license to process that data only as needed to run the Service for you (and only while your account is active).

We own Bevel. The product, code, prompts, branding, the way the agent reasons, the design — all ours. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while you have an active account.

Outputs.Recommendations, prompts, and reports the agent writes for you are yours to use however you want. Note that LLM output is not copyrightable in many jurisdictions; that's a fact about the law, not us.

6 · third-party services

Bevel runs on top of services we don't control: Anthropic, OpenAI, Supabase, Vercel, PostHog, Stripe, the data sources you connect. If one of them goes down or changes their terms, Bevel can be affected. We'll do what we can; we can't guarantee uptime of services we don't run.

7 · privacy

How we handle data is in the Privacy Policy. That document is incorporated into these terms.

8 · disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the recommendations will be correct or complete. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9 · limit of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bevel's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or (b) US $100. Neither side is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, even if advised of the possibility.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits. If you live in one of them, the limits apply to the maximum extent the law permits.

10 · indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Bevel against claims arising from (a) your use of the Service in violation of these terms, (b) data you connected that you didn't have the right to share, or (c) actions you took based on Bevel output that hurt a third party. We'll tell you about any claim promptly and let you control its defense.

11 · termination

You can close your account from Settings → Account at any time. We can terminate or suspend the account if you breach these terms or if we have to (legal order, fraud, abuse). If we terminate without cause, we refund the unused portion of any pre-paid period.

On termination: your access stops, your data is deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Policy, and the parts of these terms that should survive (sections 5, 8, 9, 10, 12) do.

12 · governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware, and both sides consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either side from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

13 · changes

If we change these terms in a material way, we'll email all active accounts at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, close your account before the effective date.
